George Street House

This interior restoration project carefully revives a 1965 residence in Torrens Park, originally designed by renowned architect John Andrews. The design approach is grounded in a deep respect for the original architectural intent, with interventions that enhance functionality while preserving the home’s distinctive mid-century character.

Particular attention is given to the kitchen and wet areas, where updates breathe new life into these essential spaces without compromising their integrity. Materials have been meticulously selected to harmonise with the existing palette—blackbutt timber and dark porcelain surfaces provide a contemporary contrast that complements the original parquetry flooring and cedar wall cladding.
